BIBLE – The Bible is inspired by God, inerrant, trustworthy and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Jn. 17:17)
GOD – There is one God who exists as a trinity of three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all things. He is perfect in character filled with goodness, holiness, faithfulness, love, and justice. (Gen. 1:1-2, Col. 1:15-17, Ps. 145)
JESUS – Jesus was miraculously born of the virgin Mary as both fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life and died as the sacrifice for all sins on the cross. On the third day, He physically rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven and was exalted to the right hand of the Father. At the appointed time, He will come again to rule the world. (Mt. 1:18-25, Jn. 1:1-18, Is. 53, Rev. 19-20)
HUMANITY – God created humans in His image as males and females, to enjoy a loving relationship with Him and with one another. Mankind sinned and now are fallen with a sinful nature. Humanity is spiritually dead apart from Jesus Christ and separated from the Holy Creator. (Gen. 1:26-27, Rom. 3:10-23, Eph. 2:1-3)
SALVATION – God in His mercy and love, has given us the way to be restored to relationship with Him. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, people who trust in Him are forgiven of their sin, declared righteous, and are reborn as spiritually alive children of God. (Rom. 3:21-28, Jn. 3:3-21)
True salvation will be evidenced by heartfelt repentance from sin, complete trust in Jesus as Savior, and surrender to His will as Lord. This will result in a life increasingly marked by love for God, fellow believers and the lost. (Acts 2:36-39, Mt. 7:17-20, Gal. 5:22-23)
CHURCH – The true Church consists of all people who have been reborn through personal faith in Jesus. The local church is the visible community of believers who strive to love God, disciple people and reach others. The church is commissioned to make disciples of all peoples. (Acts 2:42-47, Mt. 28:18-20)
FUTURE – Jesus will physically return to earth in power and glory to judge and rule the world. God’s Kingdom will be forever established and Jesus’ reign will be filled with justice and righteousness, peace and prosperity, truth and love. God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth which will be the physical, eternal home of those who trust Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Those who do not trust in Jesus will experience eternal punishment separated from God and all that is good. (Rev. 19:11-22:5, Is. 9:6-7, 11:1-9, Mt. 25:31-46)
